Earlier millennia, as well as the Pre-Republic era, are chronicled only as historical lore and legend. Though this era spans twenty-four thousand years of history, the earliest tale to date takes place only as far back as 5,000 BBY. Beginning with the formation of the Republic, it ends with the defeat of the Brotherhood of Darkness at the Seventh Battle of Ruusan and the rebirth of the Republic in the Ruusan Reformation. This era explores the earliest days of the Galactic Republic, its protectors, the Jedi Order, and its enemies, the Sith.
